Since its inception in 2002, Amata has developed long-term relationships with a number of its clients, including EquiTrade Group Inc., Amata’s very first customer. After renting space from a national shared office provider, EquiTrade decided to make the move to Amata more than a decade ago to take advantage of its state-of-the-art facilities and experienced support staff, who assists with everything from helping with sales summaries to putting together client presentations.
Company name: EquiTrade Group Inc.
Client since: 2002
What we do: Export dry and frozen food products to Central and South America and the Caribbean.
Why we chose Amata: “We shopped around and liked Amata, liked Frank and Ron, and as we talked about the facilities they would have, we thought this makes a lot of sense. There’s a personal attention to service, and they had a vision for their company that strongly matched what we stood for.”
Why we’ve stuck around: “Their team is continually good, and they’re professional. The personality of the people at the front desk and the staff is very important, especially when you have visitors from outside the country. When we’re on the road and away, there’s a full-service staff here. If we were off on our own in a standalone office, I would be involved in the hiring of a secretary, the hiring of somebody to watch over the office – all of the functions of managing an office staff, I’d have to do myself. Instead, I’ve got Frank. The location’s also good. It’s close to the train. There’s good parking nearby. And we like bringing our clients to Chicago rather than out into the suburbs. The flavor’s good here.”
