Client Spotlight: Marketing Keys

For most businesses, location is key. Just ask Roger Keys, who moved his Chicago-based marketing company to one of Amata’s shared office centers at 150 N. Michigan Ave. in 2012. Now, two years later, Roger’s company is reaping the benefits of having a downtown address while paying a fraction of the cost of traditional office space.

Company name: Marketing Keys

Client since: 2012

What we do: We’re a full-service media management firm that helps clients mainly with media planning and buying. Our expertise is the Chicago market, but we also work with companies outside of the area. Our clients include the Chicago Wolves, the Latin School of Chicago and the American Lung Association of the Upper Midwest.

Why we chose Amata: I was working with a real estate broker who’s a friend of mine and she actually recommended Amata and wanted me to take a look at this office at 150 N. Michigan. My original thought was I didn’t want to go all the way downtown because I live up in the north suburbs, but then I saw the center here and just loved it. I think the thing that set this apart was having the Michigan Avenue address, especially being in advertising – that was important.

How Amata’s services have benefitted our company: Being close to a lot of the vendors and clients I work with has been great. Having a prestigious downtown address also makes it easier to recruit top talent, as well as new clients. If we’re calling companies located in California or some other state, people are familiar with Michigan Avenue, so that kind of says something about the quality of our business.

Having the reception area up front gives clients and visitors a very nice perception of your business. And the conference rooms are beautiful with breathtaking views of the lake and Millennium Park. It’s just a nice vibe and setup here.
