A Transplant to Chicago, I am originally from south eastern MI growing up in a small town called Erie. I attended Oakland University north of Detroit where I obtained my Bachelor of Fine arts in Musical Theatre while working for the University in the Undergraduate Admissions Office.
After Graduating I worked in Summer-stock theatre in rural Illinois. It was then that I fell in love with Chicago and chose to ditch my NY plans and make Chicago my home.
I worked in High End retail and Sales for my first 3 years in Chicago, but wanted to get to the work I enjoyed in College and back into the office setting. After working for many months as a temp with Amata and traveling through the 6 centers I officially joined the Amata family permanently in November.
In the Evenings you will find me in rehearsals for stage performances and most weekends on a stage somewhere in the city of Chicago. I am currently an ensemble member with “New American Folk Theatre” –a new up and coming theatre company as well as “Hell in a Handbag” a company with over 20 years in Chicago that focuses on the Art of Camp theatre.
In my spare time, If I find some in the mix, I enjoy crocheting, watching television, and checking out performances in this incredible city from small storefront art performances, to the Broadway in Chicago theatres in the loop.
