Amata Recognized As Israel Idonije Foundation’s Largest Donor

Mayor Rahm Emanuel and the Israel Idonije Foundation recently recognized Amata Office Centers as the largest donor to the Chicago-based non-profit, which provides youth programming to children in underserved communities.

Amata’s Frank Chalupa was on hand at the foundation’s “An Evening with IIF” event to present a check for $29,000, including $9,000 raised at a recent open house that Amata hosted in honor of the foundation, a longtime client of Amata’s. The “Evening with IIF” event, which took place July 17 at Trump International Hotel & Tower, brought together celebrities, athletes, dignitaries and Chicago business leaders to support the foundation and its mission.

Established by veteran Chicago Bears player Israel “Izzy” Idonije (pictured with Mayor Emanuel and Frank C. above), the organization helps underprivileged children in Chicago; Winnipeg, Canada; and West Africa develop social and emotional life skills. To date, the foundation has served more than 6,000 kids through its after-school programs, sports camps and medical missions to Africa.
