If you follow us on social media, you may see our name with #AmataDifference attached to it. So you noticed, but what does this mean? And what does this have to do with shared office space in Chicago? To us, it has everything to do with it.
At Amata, we believe in being more than just a business. We believe in being an experience. Amata is about office solutions. We don’t just find our clients an office space for rent in Chicago and leave them to fend for themselves. We believe in real talk. Learning who you are and what your business needs to succeed allows us to provide you with the proper tools to do so. Our clients put a lot of trust in us. The way an Amata office looks and the behavior of our staff are all representations of our client’s individual companies. It takes professional, yet open communication to establish trusting work relationships like these.
And we believe that this difference sets us and our clients apart from the competition. Our clients and associates are more than just business acquaintances. We get to know them. We laugh and tell jokes with them. We ask them about their family. They become our friends.
And this experience isn’t just ours. It’s shared between our clients as well. They talk to each other about the latest news while grabbing their coffee at our coffee bars. They motivate each other to pass on the fast food for lunch and hit the gym downstairs instead. Forging strong work relationships like this builds a happier and more productive work environment. This is the Amata Difference.
We know it can’t all be play, it is work after all. Working in an Amata shared office space, you have the opportunity to find solitude when you feel you need it. Concentrating on that proposal that just came in this morning or analyzing last quarter’s budget can take some focusing. But in between those times of tunnel vision, it’s healthy for your body and your brain to get up, walk around, and get a good stretch in and maybe a little human contact.
After all, being in a shared office space means, you guessed it, sharing space!
We have cafés and lounges; a lot of our clients eat their lunch in the café where they take the time to enjoy networking with each other. Other times, an occasional client will be seen sitting in the lounge with their laptop out, getting a change of scenery at work. These interactions are just a nice little break in between a hectic day for hard-working Chicagoans. Getting to spend a half hour or so away from your desk to socialize or re-focus can also boost production once you return to work.
In addition to socializing, being able to make a quick cup of coffee or tea right down the hall or pulling your home-made food out of the fridge for lunch are small perks at Amata that add to the experience. These are the things we do at home, and when they can be done at work, they help instill a feeling of comfort in us. And the simple fact of the matter is if we are happy at work, we will be happier to do work.
We don’t think we’re being delusional, but this just seems to work with Amata. It’s not forced or required for the staff and clients to get to know each other or for different clients to interact on the floor. It just happens. We design our shared office spaces in Chicago to encourage this type of interaction, but it’s the people that turn it into an experience. It’s the people that make the difference. The Amata Difference.
